    I dont know if the old Uboot will really help. It does not like the PCIe to PCI Adapter Plus as a second card at the same time .It does Identify via Serial debug two video cards but gets hung up at some point later.
    Also OS 4.1 update 4 and or the Radeon HD Driver does not like a graphics card in anything execpt the first slot on the Sam Flex. Should have tried the OS 4.1 update 1 install CD but did not thing about it at the time.

    Re: Radeonhd drivers and sam Link to this post

    Just reported this problem on the Hyperion Entertainment Message Board :

    http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1206

    On My Sam 440ep-Flex 800Mhz and a Radeon 9250 graphics card
    OS 4.1 update 4 crashes on start of Workbench display if Graphics card is in either the second or third PCI slot.
    Will only work if Graphics card is in first PCI slot.
    OS 4.1 update 1 install CD boots ok with the graphics card in any of the three PCI slots

    @Hans

    I am trying to get a dual display on my Sam-Flex using a 9250 in PCI slot 1 and a Radeon HD5670 in PCI slot 2 via a PCIe to PCI adapter . I am trying with Amiga OS 4.1 update 2 booting from a SDcard via a usb reader as Update 3 and 4 seem to have issues with a graphics card in PCI slot 2 or 3 .
    I get the Uboot on one Monitor ok and then the OS4.1 boot screen on the other but then the SAm seems to go into an endless loop with continuous Hard drive activity even though it is booting from an SD card and not the hard drive.
    What I need help verifying is if I have the Monitor files ok for a dual Graphics card set up .

    These are the tool types of the three monitor files that i have in Devs:Monitors

    @Spectre660

    Those monitor tool-types look fine to me.

    @Hans

    Thanks.
    Looks like several U-Boot and OS quirks here.
    U-boot will only boot with two cards if the 9250 is in the first slot.
    I tried with both a X1300 PCI and the PCIE Card with an adapter.
    Also Amiga OS 4.1 update 3 and 4 crash either before or on loading Workbench with a single card either in Slots two or three. All three cards work ok alone in slot 1 from update 1 through 4 .
    All three cards work ok alone in slot 2 with update 1 and 2 but not 3 and 4 .

    Go this from mx3 via the Hyperion entertainment Message Boards.
    Have not been able to get it to work but highlights a couple of important issues.

    Re: Graphics Card -Sam 440ep-Flex PCI slot

    Postby m3x ยป Mon Aug 06, 2012 7:38 pm
    Just tested the following configuration on a Sam440ep-flex:

    Radeon 9000 PCI into slot 1 (66 Mhz, the one near the CPU)
    Radeon HD 2400 PCI into slot 3
    RadeonHD.chip 0.32

    In order to have both gfx cards working you need to:

    - download the dual graphic cards setup from here:

    http://www.acube-systems.biz/download/D ... dSetup.lha

    - place a Radeon 9xxx monitor driver in Devs/Monitors
    - place a PCIGraphics monitor driver in Devs/Monitors
    - copy Picasso96Settings into DEVS:
    - run Picasso96Mode, select the Radeon HD board from the "Attach settings to" menu, then Save
    - disable rtg.library DMA with "setenv save Picasso96/UseDMA 0"
    - if running the Sam440ep_setup, run it with the "SNDGFX" argument

    With this setup, both gfx cards work, but there will be a performace degratation due missing DMA support.

    Hope this helps.
