@Hans
I am happy to pay for an HD4350 for you, if you want one for development purposes. If you let me know how much it will cost including postage to New Zealand I'll paypal the money to you.

@Ruud
I've also received an offer to send me a card from someone else, so I'm not sure how I'll handle this one. I do want to give people who wish to contribute the opportunity to do so. Maybe the cost could be spit between you? Or maybe I should start a dedicated hardware fund.
@Magic
That online store states that they don't ship items outside of Australia, and you have to provide an Australian address in order to register. How did you convince them to ship outside of Australia? Or do you live there? That store is significantly cheaper than newegg.com (or newegg.ca).

@Thread
My order was declined for the same reason (shipping). As you noted the card is significantly more from Newegg, so I have not placed another order yet.
I would also be willing to contribute some to a fund for Hans to get an HD4350. It would probably make more sense for him to test it first anyway.

Just a quick update. You may well have seen the announcement by the eXec magazine from Poland that they've donated the funds for a Radeon HD 4350 PCI card to me (it's on most Amiga forums as well as http://exec.pl/). They found an Australian shop that stocks this card and also ships to New Zealand. I know that others were prepared to contribute funds to help buy this card, but I've already received the full amount required. Of course, people are free to donate if they wish. The shop (and item) can be found here: http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/index.php?redir=http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/show_product_info.php?input[product_code]=AL-HIS-4350-512D2-PCI&input[category_id]=
Unfortunately this shop doesn't ship outside of Australasia, so the search for a lower cost North American or European store still continues. Amazon (USA) does stock it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002EL4PI6?ie=UTF8&tag=h089a-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B002EL4PI6
but the Australian stores are still significantly cheaper.
Anyway, thank you to the eXec magazine, and everyone else who has donated. I'm looking forward to trying out this card because it's one of the latest generation of ATI cards. I'll let you know how things go when the card arrives.

AmigaOne XE G4 1Ghz
2GB Micron PC133 Buffered
ATI Radeon X1550 HM512M
OS Version 4.1
RadeonHD 0.6
Initial test show everyrything working fine, although slow with or without compositing on, as reported by others.
Tried running Perfect Paint on the X1550, while Workbench was open on 9200 AGP, this resulted in some graphics corruption on the X1550 display.
Only scratched the so surface so far so I'll have more of a play around later.

Hi Hans -
Just a quick note - I see Powercolor is now listing PCI versions (256/512MB) of the HD4350 as well.

Hi nubechecorre,
Right now the Radeon HD graphics cards won't work with a Sam 440ep, but they do work with a Sam 440 flex. The 440ep's UBoot doesn't detect and initialize the graphics card properly. I'm hoping that ACube will be able to fix this, but in the mean time, it's not possible.
This reminds me that I need to create a compatibility page.
Hans
